The goal of the UEFA Euro 2016 tournament couldn’t have come at a better time for Switzerland.
The Swiss were trailing Poland 1-0 in the 81st minute, and with it being a Round of 16 matchup, Switzerland was just minutes away from being eliminated. However, Xherdan Shaqiri gave his team new life with a stunning bicycle kick from the top of the box and into the back of the net.
