Von Miller has made it crystal clear that he and the Denver Broncos are not on the same page in contract negotiations.
Miller, the MVP of Super Bowl 50, wrote in an Instagram post Thursday that there is “no chance” he will play the upcoming NFL season under the franchise tag Denver placed on him in March.

Instead, Miller wants a long-term contract — one that carries a higher average annual value than the reported six-year, $114.5 million deal the Broncos offered him earlier this month. The 27-year-old outside linebacker shut down that offer despite the fact it would have made him the second-highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL.
Miller did not attend organized team activities or minicamp with Denver. His choices now are to accept the franchise tag, reach an agreement on a new contract by July 15 or sit out the season.
During a guest appearance this week on Chelsea Handler’s Netflix show, Miller said he would not pick Option 3.
“No,” he said. “We still have a month. I just can’t see myself with any other team.”
