Even with all the rain, Oakmont still is one of the toughest tests in golf. Jordan Spieth learned that the hard way Thursday during the first round of the U.S. Open.
Spieth appeared to hit a solid second shot on the 17th hole between rain delays, but the ball ended up spinning too much and into the bunker. Spieth obviously wasn’t happy with the outcome, and he was heard shouting, “You’ve got to be kidding me! How is that in the bunker!” before throwing his club.
