The Boston Red Sox sent just one All-Star, Brock Holt, to Cincinnati during their rough 2015 campaign, but they’re almost guaranteed to send more to San Diego this season.
Major League Baseball released the latest update in American League All-Star voting Tuesday, and Xander Bogaerts is leading all shortstops by nearly 600,000 votes, while David Ortiz is ahead by more than 1 million votes among designated hitters. Jackie Bradley Jr. also is second behind Mike Trout for an outfield spot, and Mookie Betts is in very close competition for the final spot.

Dustin Pedroia, Hanley Ramirez and Blake Swihart also are in the top five in their respective positions, but they have longer ways to go.
