Matt Damon can see silver linings in the twin clouds that are the Deflategate saga and Tom Brady’s looming suspension.
In a Tuesday appearance on “The Rich Eisen Show,” Damon offered a fresh perspective on Brady’s battle against the NFL over deflated footballs. Damon told Eisen he expects the suspension to motivate the Patriots quarterback to pursue further greatness as revenge against NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

Brady will serve a four-game suspension at the outset of the 2016 NFL season. He is scheduled to return in Week 5 when the Patriots face the Cleveland Browns.
Jimmy Garoppolo is the Patriots’ likely starter, as Brady watches from a distance.
No one should be surprised if Brady returns from suspension with a vengeance. Jason Bourne — and Patriots fans — would want it that way.
