There’s still no word on Dwight Howard’s free agency decision, but it appears the Atlanta Hawks are strong contenders for the veteran center.
Howard, who was born and raised in Atlanta, made a “strong connection” with the Hawks during their meeting Friday, sources told The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

That could spell trouble for the Boston Celtics, who also reportedly have a meeting set up with Howard.
The 30-year-old turned down a $23.2 million player option to remain with the Houston Rockets, and he’s reportedly seeking at least $24 million per year in his next contract.
