As American fans watched commercials after Rachel Platten’s rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” those watching from Canada witnessed The Tenors’ controversial tweaks to “O Canada” before the Major League Baseball All-Star Game.
The band changed some of the lyrics to the national anthem to include the words “All Lives Matter,” and one member even held up a small sign with the phrase on it.

This controversial decision was in reference to the Black Lives Matter movement in America, and changing the words to a national anthem to make a political statement like this certainly didn’t go over well.

Not only did the Canadian anthem singer hold up an "All Lives Matter" sign, they changed the lyrics to "O Canada." Get bent.

Very disturbed & saddened that the Cnd national anthem was altered to include an "all lives matter" line. #AllStarGame #blacklivesmatter

Did these fools change the lyrics to O Canada to include the words All Lives Matter? I can't even.

Btw don't mess with the Canadian national anthem. It's perfect.

UPDATE (10:50 p.m. ET): The Tenors later released a statement, which placed all the blame on a “lone wolf.”
