The Boston Red Sox were one out away from dropping three out of four games to the lowly Los Angeles Angels before Dustin Pedroia came to the plate Sunday.
The Red Sox were trailing by two runs in the ninth inning after Mookie Betts drove in Boston’s first run of the night in the previous at-bat, and Pedroia responded by putting the Sox ahead for good with a three-run homer.
