Brianna Rollins, Nia Ali, Kristi Castlin Sweep Olympic 100M Hurdles For USA

How sweep it is.

Brianna Rollins, Nia Ali and Kristi Castlin finished first, second and third, respectively, as the United States swept the women’s 100-meter hurdles event Wednesday night in Rio de Janeiro.

Rollins’ victory was the first gold medal in track for the United States in this year’s Olympics. She completed the race by clearing all 10 hurdles and crossing the finish line in 12.48 seconds. Ali took home the silver with a time of 12.59.

Meanwhile, Castlin barely edged out Great Britain’s Cindy Ofili by 0.02 seconds in a photo finish to take the bronze medal and complete the first single-nation sweep of the 100-meter hurdles in the Olympics.
