Will Claye didn’t need gold, silver or bronze to make Tuesday a great day. All he needed to hear was the word “yes.”
The USA triple jumper won a silver medal Tuesday at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, making his day as good as Ice Cube described in the classic song “It Was A Good Day.”
What happened next made Clay’s day unforgettable. He ran into the stands at Rio’s Olympic Stadium and proposed to his girlfriend, hurdler Queen Harrison.

While we think Harrison said “yes,” Clay told NBC Sports he might propose again, just for additional confirmation.

Harrison failed to qualify for the Rio Olympics. Good thing she decided to travel to Brazil anyway.
