BOSTON — The Red Sox didn’t get off to the best start in Friday night’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Fenway Park.
Jackie Bradley Jr. slipped and fell in center field as Diamondbacks second baseman Jean Segura hit a deep fly ball toward the triangle to lead off the game. The ball dropped, and Segura advanced all the way to third base.
Bradley quickly redeemed himself, though.
The next batter, Phil Gosselin, hit a hard drive to center field, and JBJ made a nice running catch. Segura initially appeared to be trying to score from third after the out, so Bradley threw a bullet to the plate.
Jackie Bradley hit 97.7 mph on that last throw. I don't think I can tweet often enough about how good his arm is.

Segura decided to retreat to third, however, and Red Sox catcher Bryan Holiday fired down the line, where Boston third baseman Aaron Hill tagged out the Diamondback.

It certainly was one of the craziest double plays we’ll see all season.
