If the New England Patriots beat the Houston Texas on Thursday night with expected starter Jacoby Brissett under center, Hall of Famer Michael Irvin will consider it quite the accomplishment — so much so that he might give the Lombardi Trophy a new name.
The former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver and three-time Super Bowl champion tweeted out a photo of himself Wednesday with his three Super Bowl championships and a pretty interesting message about New England coach Bill Belichick.
If @Patriots beat @HoustonTexans on @NFLTNF w the 3rd QB. I will take off Lombardi & call these The Belichick Trophy🏆 pic.twitter.com/JX4mCamY8Q

There was one unfortunate hiccup along the way, though, as his original tweet Tuesday called it the “Lombardy” and “The Bellichek Tropy,” but Irvin corrected the two errors and had some fun with his Twitter followers afterward.
Spell check. I love that you call Coach Belichick God. That's interesting buddy https://t.co/Y2G3mIPQnS
