Redemption.
Since the turn of the century, Europe has dominated the Ryder Cup, dealing crushing loss after crushing loss to Team USA. The biggest blow came in 2012, when Europe came back from a four-point deficit on the final day in what is now known as theĀ “Miracle at Medinah.”
But four years later, the United States is back on top of the golf world.
Team USA clinched its first Ryder Cup since 2008 by beating Europe 17 to 11Ā in what was anĀ epic weekend of golf at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minn.
The winning shot Sunday came courtesy of Ryan Moore, who won the final three holes to beat Lee Westwood 1-up.
