The Oklahoma City Thunder added another small forward Tuesday by acquiring Jerami Grant from the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for forward Ersan Ilyasova and a conditional draft pick, the teams announced.
The future pick that goes to Philadelphia from OKC is protected 1-20. 76ers will get a first if it falls between 21-30. https://t.co/QbpdCyzLNY

Grant is averaging eight points and 3.5 rebounds per game this season. His career high of 9.7 points per game came last season — his second year since being drafted in the second round by the 76ers in 2014. Grant won’t provide much scoring off the bench, but he does add some much-needed forward depth. This deal also saves OKC a bunch of salary cap space.
Ilyasova, 29, had an $8.4 million expiring contract. Jerami Grant, 22, is making $980K this year with a team option for $1.05m next year.

Grant also has tweeted some not-so-nice things about OKC, and Russell Westbrook in particular, in the past. Here’s a screenshot of one of them in case he deletes those tweets.
Ilyasova adds veteran leadership and secondary scoring to a young 76ers squad. His expiring contract makes him an attractive trade option for contending teams as the trade deadline approaches.
