When fans try to troll professional athletes, the latter usually get the last laugh. Poor Joakim Noah wasn’t so lucky.
Let’s rewind to an Oct. 19 preseason gameĀ at TD Garden, where a young Boston Celtics fan spent all night giving it to the New York Knicks big man about his ugly shot form.

Now, let’s observe what happened Tuesday night in the Knicks’ game against the Detroit Pistons when Noah pulled up inside the 3-point line and decided to let one fly.

OK,Ā nowĀ we see where that kid was coming from.
That’s one of the most cringeworthy shots you’ll see all season, and we can only imagine it brought immense joy to that young Celtics fan when he (hopefully) saw it.
Of course, the Knicks didn’t sign Noah to a four-year, $72 million contract this offseason for his jump shot, and the veteran center led the team in both rebounds (12) and assists (eight). But he finished with just two points on 1 of 4 shooting, and New York still lost, 102-89.
