The NFL has its issues with player safety, but Pat McAfee is looking out for himself.
During the 2014 season, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown returned a punt against the Cleveland Browns and accidentally kicked punter Spencer Lanning square in the face in an attempt to hurdle over him. And McAfee hasn’t forgotten that incident.
The Indianapolis Colts punter will have to face Brown on Thursday night, so he took to Twitter on Tuesday to ask the wideout to spare him, at least while his mom is in town.
Hey @AntonioBrown.. it's gonna be Thanksgiving.. my mom's gonna be there.. once again, none of this.. please.. thanks in advance pic.twitter.com/cIKMFuI94a

And Brown, being the nice guy he is, happily agreed not to put his foot to McAfee’s facemask.
.@PatMcAfeeShow you should just kick it out of bounds brother !
Kidding, happy Thanksgiving Momma McAfee !

So, it seems like McAfee is safe for now, but we can’t guarantee everyone else’s Thanksgiving debates will be that friendly.
