The Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals have the most intense rivalry in the NHL right now, and they will meet for the second time this season on this week’s edition of “Wednesday Night Rivalry” on NBCSN.
The hits actually started flying before puck drop, as the Penguins trolled the Capitals on Twitter with a Stanley Cup banner photo. The Caps responded, but they already had lost.

The Penguins beat the Capitals in a six-game Eastern Conference semifinals playoff series last season en route to their fourth championship.
Wednesday’s game should be fun, to say the least.
