Rob Gronkowski Reportedly Is A Vegas Golden Knights Minority Owner

No, that last part isn’t a typo.

The NHL officially has a new franchise in the Vegas Golden Knights, whose name and logo were unveiled Tuesday night. Every team needs owners, though, and while the Golden Knights’ primary owner is businessman Bill Foley, the club also has several minority owners — one of which is a certain New England Patriots tight end, according to ESPN’s Darren Rovell.

Patriots fans shouldn’t worry about any ownership duties pulling Gronk away from football, though. Plenty of celebrities and athletes have minority ownership in pro sports teams — just look at the Miami Dolphins, whose minority owners include tennis’ Williams sisters and Fergie.

Gronkowski isn’t the only Golden Knights minority owner Boston sports fans will recognize, as ex-Boston Bruins forward Mark Recchi also has stake in Vegas’ new team.

Such a star-studded list seems fitting for a team from Vegas, and we can’t wait to see how the NHL’s 31st franchise fares — even if we still can’t tell what its mascot looks like.
