Tim Tebow Injured After Trying To Steal Base In Arizona Fall League

Tim Tebow’s baseball career continues to hit rocky patches.

The New York Mets minor leaguer has already ran into a fence and had trouble hitting the ball out of the infield in the Arizona Fall League. On Monday, Tebow suffered his first professional baseball injury.

The former NFL quarterback attempted a steal after reaching on a fielder’s choice in the fourth inning of an Arizona Fall League game. Not only was he caught stealing (not a surprise, as a holy man like Tebow isn’t used to stealing things), but he appeared to injure his right knee on an awkward slide into second.

Tebow left the game and is considered day-to-day.

In 10 games with the Scottsdale Scorpions, Tebow has shown no signs of one day being enshrined in Cooperstown. He has just five hits in 34 at-bats for a .147 average.
