Deflategate 2 seemingly is over before it even began.
Less than an hour after FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer reported that the New York Giants filed a complaint with the NFL after finding two Pittsburgh Steelers footballs to be deflated during their Week 13 contest, the league released a statement seemingly putting any potential issues to rest.
“The officiating game ball procedures were followed and there were no chain of command issues,” the league’s statement read. “All footballs were in compliance and no formal complaint was filed by the Giants with our office.”
Glazer responded to the statement, saying that the Giants did inform the league but didn’t file a formal complaint.
NFL correct in saying no FORMAL complaint was FILED, Giants tested balls & informed the NFL they were under legal limit. Giants confirmed
