Nico Rosberg apparently hasn’t stopped celebrating his Formula 1 World Driver Championship since he crossed the finish line in Abu Dhabi on Nov. 22.
In less than two weeks Rosberg has celebrated with the entire Mercedes-AMG Petronas staff at the team’s factory in Brackley, U.K., locals at Mercedes-Benz’s headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany and the whole of F1 at the FIA Gala. Apparently, the 31-year-old even celebrated with German soccer star Lukas Podolski.
The two German sports icons took a selfie together, with Podolski holding the FIFA World Cup Trophy the German national team won in 2014. Rosberg, likewise, was showing off his new hardware.

And don’t worry, they had somebody take a picture of them taking a picture — you know, to prove it actually happened.

Unsurprisingly, this isn’t the first time the two countrymen have met. Podolski in 2013 rode shotgun with Rosberg on a flying lap of the fearsome Nurburgring Nordschleife, before hopping behind the wheel for a lap.
Although Rosberg and Podolski are both the same age, the two are at very different points in their career. Podolski is under contract with the Turkish club Galatasaray, whereas Rosberg — having realized his life goal — is already beginning life after professional sports.
