Vancouver Canucks defenseman Philip Larsen had to be stretchered off the ice Tuesday night at the Prudential Center after taking a massive hit from New Jersey Devils forward Taylor Hall.
The play happened behind the net in the second period.
As the Canucks came to help their teammate, a few skates accidentally hit Larsen in the head, as seen in the GIF below.

Larsen appeared to be unconscious on the ice after the hit, but he did show some movement later on.
Larsen appeared to have some movement of his extremities as he was taken off the ice on a stretcher.

Despite being a huge hit by Hall, it didn’t appear to be dirty or worthy of a penalty.
