In case you haven’t heard, LeBron James could be a free agent this offseason.
The 33-year-old star has the ability to opt out of his contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers after the 2017-18 season, and likely will receive a multitude of offers should he hit the open market.
In fact, James received his first offer Tuesday from a team with a history of winning championships.
No, not the team in Los Angeles.
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster offered his recruiting pitch to King James on Twitter, asking the three-time NBA champion to come win a Super Bowl for the Steel City.
Announcing my official campaign to recruit @KingJames to the Pittsburgh Steelers for the 2018 season. LeBron has done everything in the NBA. He can be the best athlete EVER if he makes the move to the NFL and wins a Super Bowl with Steeler Nation… #LeBronToPittsburgh pic.twitter.com/5VLcjIPpSO

You have to appreciate the hustle.
James is a phenomenal athlete, but the NFL would take a huge toll on his body at age 33.
The Steelers also don’t need another offensive weapon, as their offense already contains multiple dynamic playmakers, including Le’Veon Bell, Antonio Brown and Smith-Schuster. But we guess they could find room for James if he wanted to join the Black and Gold.
If James does decide to leave the Cavs, he’ll have his pick of the NBA, with the Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets and Philadelphia 76ers leading the pack of candidates.
