The Ndamukong Suh sweepstakes appeared to be coming to a close, but a new team reportedly has forced the star defensive tackle to widen his free-agent scope.
A number of teams reportedly expressed strong interest in Suh after he was released by the Miami Dolphins on March 14, but the Tennessee Titans and Los Angeles Rams appeared to distance themselves from the pack. While Suh has visited with both of these clubs, as well as the New Orleans Saints, he reportedly might consider a team he hasn’t even met with yet.
Ndamukong Suh update: #Suh tells me that the #Jets have emerged as a serious contender, alongside the #Titans, #Rams and #Saints (in no particular order). While a visit to NY has yet to be facilitated, Todd Bowles/the Jets have informed Suh precisely how they envision using him.

While the Titans, Rams and Saints all are expected to be playoff teams in the 2018 season, unlike the Jets, New York can boast one major sales pitch to Suh that its competition can’t.
The #Jets have the biggest offer, though there is no visit yet. Suh would have to take less to go to the other teams… which he may do https://t.co/Zw8lp4vv4Y

Suh not going to the highest bidder would be interesting, as the five-time Pro Bowl selection reportedly was going to make his free-agent decision solely on cash. But Suh only has reached the playoffs in three of his eight NFL seasons, so legitimately competing for a Lombardi Trophy would be a tough opportunity to pass up.
