For the seventh straight season, Boston Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron has been named a finalist for the Frank J. Selke Trophy, the team announced Wednesday.
The award is presented to the best defensive forward, and the winner is selected via a poll of the Professional Hockey Writers’ Association.

Anze Kopitar of the Los Angeles Kings and Sean Couturier of the Philadelphia Flyers are the other two forwards up for the award.
Bergeron, who’s serving his 12th season as the alternate captain for the B’s, collected 63 points through the 2017-18 NHL regular season with 30 goals and 33 assists with plus-21 rating through 64 games. He missed 13 games with a fractured foot back in March.
The 32-year-old is the only active player to win the award four times (2012, 2014, 2015 and 2017), and would be the first to take home five if he does so June 20th.
