Team Canada and Team Sweden kicked off the 4 Nations Face-Off with an epic overtime tilt at Bell Centre in Montreal on Wednesday.

After surrendering two two-goal leads, Canada came away with the win when Mitch Marner ended the game in the extra frame.

Bruins captain Brad Marchand had the same reaction as many hockey fans watching the action of the NHL’s best-on-best tournament.

“Man, you guys are fun to watch,” Marchand said, in a league-provided video. “I might be the biggest fan here.”

Marchand praised Marner for providing Canada with the victory but also took the opportunity to chirp Team Canada captain Sidney Crosby.

“Atta boy, Mitchie,” Marchand said. “Good job, Sid. … Risky play there at the end, 8-7. Between the legs, back in our zone? Not a big deal. He decided to go for a loop down in the corner after, too. Almost went offside.”

Marchand not only had fun in the locker room with his teammates, but the Halifax, Nova Scotia native scored Canada’s second goal of the game. Marchand took a beauty of a pass from Tampa Bay Lightning’s Brayden Point on a 2-on-1 break to beat Sweden goaltender Filip Gustavsson

It was the first time he heard cheers from a crowd in Montreal.
