How Real Is Red Sox-Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Dream In Boston?

Guerrero Jr. is a free agent after this season

The Boston Red Sox may just have their eyes on a bigger prize next offseason.

Toronto Blue Jays star Vladimir Guerrero Jr. failed to agree to an extension prior to his spring training deadline. The 25-year-old will head to free agency next offseason as one of baseball’s premier right-handed bats.

The Red Sox lineup with Guerrero Jr. would elevate greatly alongside established stars in Rafael Devers and Alex Bregman. The Toronto slugger also is no stranger to mashing at Fenway Park with 10 home runs and a .358 batting average in 45 career games there.

NESN’s George Balekji and Kasey Hudson discussed the impact of the failed negotiations for the Blue Jays and what that means for the Red Sox come next offseason on the latest episode of the “Boston Has Entered The Chat” podcast.
