The Aaron Rodgers experiment totally failed for the New York Jets, who announced Thursday they’d part ways with the four-time NFL MVP after two seasons.

Should the Super Bowl XLV MVP continue his career, Rodgers will do so in search of his third franchise after two years with the Jets and eighteen with the Green Bay Packers. His resume is Hall-of-Fame ready, but he may just find enough light in the darkness to step back on the gridiron.

He showed flashes of continued production this season with just shy of 3,900 passing yards and 28 touchdowns. Rodgers has to prove to a quarterback-needy team that the short-term investment in a legendary investment is still worth it.

NESN’s George Balekji and Travis Thomas ran through nine potential NFL suitors for Rodgers to finish his career with.
