This Draft Prospect Could Be Final Move In ‘Dream’ Scenario For Patriots

Could the Patriots target Jalon Walker in April's draft?

Paying a top edge rusher in free agency isn’t the only way the Patriots could address their need this offseason. They could draft one, too.

Or they could do both.

During the latest episode of NESN’s “Foxboro Rush,” George Balekji and Travis Thomas highlighted some of the top linebackers and edge rushers set to take the field at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine on Thursday.

Balekji identified Georgia standout Jalon Walker as a player to watch, and concocted a “dream” scenario in which the Patriots solve their defensive front this offseason.

“Let’s say that Josh Sweat in free agency ends up with the Patriots,” Balekji said. “Josh Sweat, Keion White and Christian Barmore are three of your four down lineman, maybe Jalon Walker is your other guy. … That’s a dream.”
