The Boston Red Sox will kick off their 2025 regular season Thursday afternoon in Texas against the Rangers.

Garrett Crochet will be on the bump for the visitors’ highly anticipated first contest. Crochet, whom Boston acquired in a blockbuster trade over the offseason, will be opposite former Red Sox fireballer Nathan Eovaldi.

Behind Crochet will be an infield of Triston Casas, rookie Kristian Campbell, Trevor Story and Alex Bregman. Alex Cora revealed on Wednesday that Bregman will be Boston’s primary third baseman to start the season while Rafael Devers serves as the designated hitter.

On the grass for Boston will be Jarren Duran, Ceddanne Rafael and Wilyer Abreu, a trio that figures to be one of the best defensive outfields in baseball this season.

Here are the starting nines for both clubs on Opening Day, which will have full coverage on NESN beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET.
