VA Hero of the Week: Boston Fleet Forward Nails Historic Hat Trick
Hilary Knight sealed a sweep over the Sirens
The Boston Fleet completed a six-game series sweep against the New York Sirens at the Tsongas Center on Wednesday night, with their 5-2 victory being sealed by forward and captain Hilary Knight.
In the last eight seconds of the third period, Knight completed a hat trick on an empty net goal, marking the first in Boston Fleet history, and in her career. With the help of the three goals, the team moved into second place of the PWHL regular season standings.
The Fleet will look for another win on Saturday, March 8th, against the Montreal Victoire at Agganis Arena.
