It didn’t take long for the Boston Red Sox to reveal their home run celebration for the 2025 MLB season.

Trevor Story and Wilyer Abreu wasted no time taking Fenway Park to its limit, launching back-to-back dingers in the bottom of the first inning to give the Red Sox an early 5-0 lead. What was waiting for Story after his three-run shot was a giddy Jarren Duran — and Wally the Green Monster mascot head.

After Boston’s social team officially introduced the Wally mask, Red Sox Nation immediately begged for the admin to reveal who came up with the idea.

“Please wait,” the social team responded on X. “We have video proof.”

And then the magic was revealed with Duran as the ringleader with some help from his friends.

“Thanks to Jarren for commissioning the home run Wally head!” the Red Sox posted with a video of Wally and Tessie the Green Monster presenting Duran with the masterpiece.

“That’s insane,” Duran said, smiling as he took his hat off to try the mask for himself. “Wow, this actually turned out really good. Thank you, guys.

“They’re going to freak out when everybody puts this on, yeah?”

After Abreu went yard, Story met the slugger with the Wally mask to continue the celebration.
