After seven road games to kick off the 2025 season, the Red Sox will be back at Fenway Park on Friday to kick off a three-game series with the Cardinals.

Boston enters the matinee matchup with some momentum after securing a series win in Baltimore on Wednesday. Walker Buehler will try to keep things rolling when he takes the mound for his second start with the Red Sox. The right-hander will try to be sharper than he was last Saturday when he allowed four runs on seven hits over 4 1/3 innings in Texas.

Buehler will be opposed by Erick Fedde, who won his season debut by limiting the Minnesota Twins to one run on two hits over six innings. Fedde will work against the same lineup Boston used in its series finale at Camden Yards.

Here are the starting nines for Friday’s Red Sox home opener, which will have complete coverage on NESN and NESN 360 beginning at noon ET.
