Former teammate of Alex Ovechkin and Bruins legend Zdeno Chara weighed in on Ovechkin’s chase of Wayne Gretzky’s goal record.
Chara had high praise for Ovechkin’s leadership and skill and reminisced about their battles on the ice. On Ovechkin’s chase of the goal record, Chara said, “Everybody knew it was just a matter of time he’d be getting pretty close to Wayne Gretzky.”
