Super Bowl XLV Strengthens Case to Make Championship Game a National Holiday in America (Photos) Super Bowl XLV was one to remember.

Starting with the problems in Dallas leading up to the title game, to Christina Aguilera‘s trouble with the national anthem, to the Black Eyed Peas’ halftime performance, to the actual 60 minutes of action on the field, fans were treated to a special event.

In the end, the Green Bay Packers beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-25 to win their fourth Super Bowl championship. Aaron Rodgers took home the MVP after a spectacular quarterback performance and prevented Ben Roethlisberger from winning his third ring to officially close the chapter on the Brett Favre era in Green Bay.

This year’s Super Bowl made everyone around the world take notice as the NFL continues to stake its claim as America’s favorite pastime.

The Lombardi Trophy now flies home, and the NFL offseason begins.
