Ben Bishop did everything he could just to stay on the ice, let alone perform on Monday. The fact that he played all of Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final — given the injuries he sustained in Game 2 — is impressive enough.
But it was what the Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender endured throughout Game 3 that was most impressive. Bishop made 36 saves despite taking a beating in a 3-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks that gave Tampa Bay a 2-1 series lead.
Example A: Bishop gets punched in the face, still makes the save against Brandon Saad.

The Blackhawks might have grounds for an appeal, though, considering the were playing against an undead goalie. That’s right, Bishop died and defeated Chicago as a zombie (Clearly seeing a zombie scared Marian Hossa so badly that he missed that wide open net, right?).

OK, so Bishop survived and didn’t join the army of the dead, but he certainly played Game 3 like he had nothing — even his life — left to lose.
After the team traded goals midway through the third period, Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman set up forward Cedric Paquette for this beauty of a game-winning goal with 3:11 to play in regulation.
