More than 100 spectators have been injured after a section of stands gave way during a car race in the Brazilian city of Quatro Pontes.

Approximately 500 people were sitting in a section of bleachers watching the race in Parana when the structure fell apart on Sunday. Six fans were taken to a hospital — two are still there and in serious condition.

Authorities believe that structural faults in the stands may have caused the collapse.
