Dustin Brown is happy with the outcome of Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final. Not so much about the Prudential Center ice conditions.
"It was like playing with a tennis ball, quite honestly," the Kings captain said of the poor ice conditions during Wednesday's Cup showdown in New Jersey.
But Brown wasn't the only one unimpressed by the ice conditions, which seemed to be a result of the humidity in the arena. Brown's teammate, Justin Williams, also said the ice "wasn't very good."
As for the Devils? Yeah, they weren't big fans of the ice surface either. Goaltender Martin Brodeur mentioned that the "ice was bad" while speaking after the game.
No one really seems to be blaming the ice for anything that went down in Game 1, but we at least have a majority opinion. The ice totally sucked.
