You’d think fantasy owners would have learned by now to keep their frustrations to themselves, or at the very least, not directly mention NFL players in their angry tweets.
But apparently one disgruntled fan didn’t get the memo, and he paid the price. Big time.
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver John Brown was active for Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns but didn’t play a single snap, effectively serving as an emergency option while he recovers from a hamstring injury.
Brown’s no-show drew the ire of one particular Twitter user, who claimed Brown and Green Bay Packers wide receiver James Jones had “earned a trip to my bench next week.” (The tweet since has been deleted.)
The Cardinals wideout fired back with a response for the ages.

Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians also came to Brown’s defense with his own epic line after the game.

As Brown so kindly pointed out, Arizona has a bye in Week 9, giving the speedy 25-year-old some extra time to heal up. If you haven’t learned by now, though, please don’t send these fantasy-related tweets to NFL players, because they still don’t care about your fantasy team.
